PRODUCT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Simpson Cottage linen is made from pure European linen and carries the Masters of Linen accreditation. We have switched from all cotton bedding to linen because linen is healthier, lasts longer and producing it is more eco-friendly and finally we believe linen is a luxury that has been overlooked for too long.

Our linen is sourced from regions in Europe that have a tradition of growing and milling flax, it is then hand made into the products you’ve used during your stay at Simpson Cottage. If you have a particular design or style you’d like created, please ask.

Caring for Linen

Our linen products are easily maintained, and with a little TLC may last a lifetime. We recommend washing similar colours together in the washing machine in warm water using gentle, good quality washing liquid or powder. Dry on the line (preferably out of the sun) or in a dryer on a low temperature only until it’s almost dry.

  •  Never over-dry the linen - it will crease and go stiff, scratchy and hard, and won't last as long
  •  Never use brighteners or fabric softener
  •  Never soak or wash with chlorine based bleach

Ironing while still damp on the reverse side is easier and gives excellent results.
