Driving Directions from Sydney
Head south towards Wollongong via the A1 / Princes Highway (signs for Eastern Suburbs/Airport/M1/Wollongong/Canberra). From Princes Highway, turn left for Wollongong just before Sutherland. Turn left at the entrance to Royal National Park (approx. 40kms from Sydney CBD). Follow the main road down to Audley and continue uphill winding through the National Park. After 15-20mins from the Park entrance, turn left on the road marked for Bundeena and Miainbar. Continue 9kms to Bundeena. Upon arriving in Bundeena, take the third turn on the left up Short Avenue, drive to the end of Short Ave and again turn left into Crammond Ave (DO NOT DRIVE DOWN SIMPSON ROAD).
Simpson Cottage is at the very end of Crammond Ave, you will see the white picket fence and parking area to the left of the garage. From the Sydney CBD your drive will take at least 1hr 15mins to Simpson Cottage.
Transport from Sydney Airport
From Sydney Airport take the Illawarra Line train towards Cronulla Station. Alighting at Cronulla Station, walk approx. 3 minutes to the Cronulla Ferries wharf to board the Bundeena Ferry to Bundeena Wharf. The ferry trip is a pleasant 30 minute journey through Gunnamatta Bay and across Port Hacking. It is a short but quite hilly walk from the Bundeena Wharf to Simpson Cottage - we would recommend calling a taxi.
