Our local area
There are so many beautiful walks to enjoy in our area - visit the link here for the Royal National Park walks, and make sure you have a look at the ‘Highlights’ section for more information on nearby beaches and other things to do. This is where you can make the most of the taxis; they can pick you up and drop you off at a pre-arranged time if you decide on a walk that isn't a loop.
Our favourite walks are to the charming Marley and Wottamolla, along with the walk across to Maianbar. To make your way here, take the steps below the cottage that lead to the beach, and use Google maps to help you find your way to the above locations. You may even see deer en route or in Maianbar!
You’ll find lots of shacks at Marley, Wottamolla and Garie beaches and a few below the cottage. The shacks remain from displaced people after the war and are very special to our region.
Jean General Store is the new kid on the block, the brainchild of designer Kelly Ross; a true old-fashioned general store that stocks vintage homewares and we could love it more.
We recommend a visit to Audley if you can tear yourself away from the cottage, to visit Audley Cafe and Dance Hall for a lovely bite to eat.
If you love the water, you can hire stand-up paddleboards and kayaks from Bundeena Kayaks.
Bundeena Picnics Think gold-class movies reimagined as a picnic - they will set up your very own perfectly styled picnic space and deliver everything to you. Their kitchen is nearby, so you can choose from grazing plates to hot BBQ seafood platters.
They can also make you a packed lunch to take on a hike.
A fun outing is a trip on the pretty little ferry run by Cronulla Ferries and explore the local waterways or head over to Cronulla.

Eating and drinking
Catering and pre-arranged Grazing boxes Why not order to have it delivered and ready and waiting in the fridge when you arrive
We have partnered with Audley Dance Hall and Bundeena Picnics who can create everything from breakfast hampers and grazing boxes to full event-style catering so you needn't cook a single thing.
Earth Thingz is cafe side of Bundeena Picnics serving great coffee and cafe style fare, they also accept our tokens.
We love the pizzas from Bundeena pizza, if you’re keen for a night in but don’t feel like cooking, they offer delivery!
Driftwood is is great for breaky, P&P Kitchen does a great pho.
I-Grill at the Bowlo is well known for their oysters and the best schnitty in town, they also create the most amazing grazing boxes and their catering is a feast for the eyes.
Then there’s the Bundeena CSC with the usual club style food and great views across to Cronulla. They also have a courtesy bus, super handy if you’ve had a couple of wines and don’t feel like walking home!
Groceries are available from our nearby IGA (on Loftus Road, 2min drive or 15min walk). They stock a comprehensive range of groceries, deli goods and have a bottle shop. Supplies can be a little pricey here and the bottle shop is smaller than your average, so we would suggest bringing your favourites with you.
We have a fantastic local supplier of hampers, if this is something that interests you, please reach out ahead of your arrival.

An in-cottage massage can be arranged, by Louise. You can reach her on 0404 780 726 to make plans before your stay.
Tokens
In the kitchen you will find a token that offers $10 off your bill, at some of our local venues. Just take it with you, and let the staff know when you arrive.
